These are a clean, strong and light, convenient size, 20 gallon barrels, made of high quality, non-toxic, food safe, "type 2" HDPE plastic. They are water and air tight sealed with a gasket and re-useable steel clamp. They were used only once for transporting lactose, a simple harmless sugar. Nothing toxic or hazardous has ever touched these containers. (HDPE plastic does not leach harmful chemicals into your food or water.)
